People and Agency's quote “position, position, position”, well this is truly a superb example.  Check it's amazing position on the peninsular. From the writers knowledge, having lived in Corfu for 30  years or more, Villa Quietude is a one off, from it's standing, to the general wants of a family. One could ask where in Corfu are there others similar. I know of none. Over looking the sea, on a high mountain. & a far distance away from the sea, yes, but not situated next to the sea. This estate with it's matured gardens & large swimming pool has been stayed in by many iconic household names. It is the closest house to the port in a now prohibited building area. Where else can you can walk from your own terraced gardens to the sea, and not need to rent a car to get to facilities. This Villa is only offered as the owners do not use it throughout the summer months, but also have no desire what-so-ever to sell such a unique property as it can never be replaced. It is listed as the dominant property in the now holiday resort.

Villa Quietude was built in the 60's with a natural environmental construction of local materials provided. The design, stone work, multitude of stone  terraces, pool area, gardens & size, make it photographed by most passers-bye. It's west border is designated forest land with all building and vegetation alteration against the law. The gardens extend down as near as possible to the sea and the secluded fine pebble beach.  The fisherman’s Port is 300M away to the west, where there are scheduled boat services to the close, inhabited islands of Erikousa, Othoni & Matraki. Behind the Villa is the ridge leading down to Arillas beach. Tranquillity, comfort, space & location are the keywords. Sitting on the veranda, overlooking the sea 100 meters away, and watching the red sun disappearing behind Orthoni Island is truly something magical provided free by nature in a few places on earth. Swim below or at the long sandy golden beach of Ayios Stefanos.

The Villa’s 1.5 managed acres go down to the sea where one can stroll and have a swim or use its large 55 sq. yd. pool. Shelter away from sun at the pool, under a large fruit bearing fig tree or umbrellas. Lounges, umbrellas & solid table are provided in order for you to enjoy your midday salad, evening meal or cocktails outdoors. There is a purpose built BBQ. Lighting is provided around the pool and underwater if required.

Originally built by the Cadbury family, it has over the years been substantially enlarged and has lately had a renovation which brings it right up-to date.

Electronically, the Villa has a home cinema, DVD, CD, broadband 24/7 connections, & both Greek & UK sockets. Besides wifi it has wired internet connection in each bedroom and major rooms. Silent fans are in all the bedrooms & lounge, but with 22 inch cavity stone walls the A/C is rarely used or needed as the Villa is naturally cool even in the hottest weather. The new modern oak kitchen has all the equipment one would wish, if you cook-in, which seems a rarity.

Even though being completely secluded and reflecting its name, Quietude is well within easy walking distance of all the village facilities and a car is not required. These facilities include news agent, supermarkets, shops, bars and approximately 30 restaurants/places to eat.

Quietude has at least 6 large sitting out areas, front veranda  partly covered, rear grape vine patio, a few other sun patios scattered around. 7 different terraced lawns so it is possible to enjoy the outdoors with every type of weather or wind direction.

For your personal security 24/7 CCTV cameras operate non-invasive & border facing areas.

Within the gardens is a Kalamata olive grove, and vegetable patches where clients can pick vegetables when they are in season. In keeping with ecological trends a biodigester waste water treatment plant has been installed and is being kept in reserve until and if ever required. Water is provided by a deep borehole. As opposed to some of the Greek Houses & toilet systems which require the waste paper be thrown into a dust bin, Villa Quietude has a modern toilet system, not requiring these un-hygenic methods. Keep-up with the TV,  political personalities & film makers who have stayed here.

Whatever your desire, a wedding, a holiday, or a romantic getaway this luxury Villa will be your dream. My daughter is even coming to christen her child. Even though advertised for 6 persons the Villa has in reality has got 8 beds. A cot can be provided free if required. Unbelievable  “yes”, but TRUE.

The flat for two persons, overlooks the sea, features a bedroom with en suite, lounge and fully equipped kitchen, eating area and separate toilet. The bedroom exterior doors lead out to the sheltered lawn with lounges, table & chairs etc, as does the back kitchen door. The lounge has a bed/settee as well as a lounge suite, if required for a third person. There are chairs and tables to sit outside on the lawn or patio or have a BBQ. One A/C unit is available in the bedroom but realistically is not required. It has mosquito gauze and for your security the building has non-invasive CCTV surveillance. In the past this accommodation has been reserved for the owner but it is now available for renting and has been renovated. Parking is outside the front door & within the grounds. The flat for 6/7 persons, overlooks the sea and swimming pool, It  features a bedroom with en suite, two other twin bedded bedrooms, double lounge and fully equipped kitchen, eating area excluding the veranda, bathroom with bath & twin basins and toilet. A very large partially covered veranda with table & chairs for that dinner party( ten or more). The veranda also has sun beds for lying in the sun privately if the pool area does not attract you. The flat has 24/7 wifi. This is a large flat and easily caters for 6 or seven persons. The flat has 3 A/C units as an optional extra if required. Probably not required as ceilings are high and sun is protected from the roof by tiles and photovoltaic cells. Parking is in the property a few meters away from the entrance. A BBQ is available at the pool area and at two others depending on area required & cooking needs. If a full lamb needs to be spit roasted, there are the facilities. The two lounges are large and with comfortable lounge suites. Windows have mosquito gauze for your protection as standard. This accommodation is not just rooms with a view but more a family home while on vacation. The sea facing lounge has large double doors opening out onto the covered area of the veranda. The flat occupies one full storey so is completely secluded from the other two flats below.

Two A/C unit are available in the bedroom and another in the lounge both as an optional extra. Barbecue facilities are in the gardens - a griddle and a spit roaster. Cots can be provided for infants as can an extra bed if requested. The flat consists of Two bedrooms, one double and one single. The master bedroom has an en-suite and doors leading out into the garden & extensive lawn. The is a built separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size cooker, microwave, fridge and all utensils. In fact the flat could be used as full time residence. The lounge is large and has double doors out onto the sea facing balcony. The sea and beach are fully visible over the extremity as are the islands and in the distance the high mountains of Albania.
